After much research and looking online at Craigslist and RV trader we found a camper that was perfect for us. We had three requirements: 1. air conditioning 2. some sort of bathroom and 3. refrigerator. We didn’t want anything big to start with, mainly just wanted to be able to camp more than early spring and late fall and no long walks in the middle of the night to the bathroom. The refrigerator was to put my mind at ease about poisoning us with spoiled food. Introducing Bessie
We found our camper at American Family RV in Chesapeake. The folks there are amazing! Robbie helped us with all the paperwork and I can’t say enough about her, she was absolutely great! It is the perfect size for us at the moment. After the purchase we realized that the Venza could pull it but it would really be hard on it. The trailer was right at the Venza towing capacity. So, more research later and we bought a 2005 Lexus GX470. I hated saying good-bye to the Venza but if it couldn’t pull the trailer, it had to go.

It wasn’t until we went and picked up the camper and Robbie pointed out that the Lexus matches the camper perfectly. Not planned, but cool anyway!
Inside pictures are iPhone pics so they aren’t very good.
Bathroom – check, refrigerator – check, and air conditioning – check – we have a winner. Can’t wait to go camping again!
